I had this idea for adding more storage in our inventory for quite sometime. Here's a crappy diagram I made up
The idea is to add tabs to the side of our inventory and have 45 storage space to each tab or more. Maybe we could implement this to our Vault box too.
But I'm sure someone has a better idea.

I think it should be made that you can take off baggs with items in them, that way, we would have infinate storage, just think one bag can hold 10 items, with 10 more bags in the first all holding 10 bags, thats like 1000 spaces (thats wrong i know)

The more you have the more you will use/need.
I too desperately need more storage. Over 3 characters (1 is my Factions character) I had 2 slots free when I went a run with Guildies to Grenth's Footprint. They had a good laugh whenever I had a drop - drop an item, pick up creature drop, salvage, pick up my dropped item. Makes for a really long run.
I like any idea that gives me more storage space!!

I have 2 characters filled to the brim with stuff, my storage is full save for 2 spaces to transfer stuff between chars.
Bags being detached with items in them is a really good idea, but I don't mind paying for more storage. Um....mabye 2k for 5 spaces though.

well furiousfunk, thats another reason why all guild reated stashes need 3 settings....
defalt setting......only the guildleader can take out..anyone in guild can add.
setting 2 *manualy set up* guildleader and officers can take out, anyone in guild can add
setting 3 *manual setup* anyone in the guild can take out or put in
there would, admitedly need to be other safeguards...to prevent hacked characters taking all gold/items from the stash.....i wont list those i think are nesicary here (would be a long post of info lol)
bottomless chests and placing bags of stuff with stuff inside is a BAD idea....
like neverwinter and Nordock....those damn chests used to swallow my stuff on a regualr basis...one LAG hicup and *Gulp* there goes all my crafted items >.<
oh, another thing..only regestered guildmembers (not guests) could look at the stashes...saves someone joining up ust to get what the *Know* you have in the stash...

you get about double the storage capacity of your storage unit on a fully (storage) upgraded character.
With additional character slots, either accompanied by expansions, or bought with the new buyable character slots, you have plenty of storage improvement options. Even if your playing 8 characters regularly, your bond to have enough room between the lot of them and then some on your storage unit to carry everything you need.
You have a storage improvement option, are you willing to pay for it?

true, but a lot of peeps would rather pay for a extra box rather than just buy yet *another* mule character.....
for a start, they could offer (once you got to LA or maybe the Henge) an Major and Superior Rune of Opening....if a standard costs 500gp, a Major might cost 1500 and a superior might go up to 5k (if they wanted it to be just a gold sink, i mean the price would be up to them)
(so each bag...bag+Rune+Majour+Sup=20 slots altogether)
and since you can have 2 bags....a total of 40 slots.....plus it would be a little goldsink, since they seem popular....
we (the fourm going monkeys ect ) have already sugested loads of ideas for better storeage, ranging from guild store, GHall stores, better space management, extra purchaseable bags, the runes in more than standard, buying more *other* stores or even questing for them.....just buying another char slot as a mule will only work a tempry mesure

More runes of holding! Make your bags able to carry as much as a backpack.

Better runes of holding do seem like a good idea. It would sorta make the Belt Pouch look stupidly out of place.
I myself have a 2nd account with a mule on it. The moment i created her she became doped up to the eyeballs on crappy Tomb Greens. I'm still selling the bleeding things now. Still, its a different account so awkward to sort out, i eventually just flogged all my materials to the traders (except the Steel Ingots, i can't be arsed to press 'Request Offer' ' Sell' 240 times) and have to do the tedious task of throwing everything in there before i go hunting.
We really do need seperate areas to store armour and weapons for characters. Perhaps a small (10 slots maybe) extra area for customised items only. You know things aren't gonna be good when your warrior has 5 gloves, 2 helms, 4 shields, 5 weapons
Your ele has 4 wands, 5 focus, 5 3rd eyes, 1 other set of armour and
Your ranger has 4 masks, 2 gloves, 2 boots, 1 shield, 1 sword and a shed load of bows.
Seriously all that crap you NEED to be flexible in PvE. If i'd wanted to be a particular type of character the whole game without the chance for change i'd of gone to play Diablo 2.

More slots means more stuff...
We need more space, even more so, now that we will be able to buy more character slots and therefore have more characters. More characters thus, means that you will have more stuff to use or store.

Hmmm.....The belt pouch....
Maybe a double belt pouch? Holds twice as much. Or a belt pouch that goes all the way around you. Holds 4 times as much.

Free Storage for customized items.
Why? - the reasons are multifold. First you can have as much armor as you want, letting it be an actual gold sink to many players. second it sweetens the deal on customizing items without affecting pvp. Complaining about not enough room now? well... just customize it instead of losing it. This will give alot more space to most players, and more storage is needed for the extra ones in factions. I dont know about you but my xunlai is always full. Also holiday items will be free since they are customized.

with the addition of 2 new character slots and the ability to buy new character slots i think, that after the 4 primary slots, storage should relate to the number of character slots u have and how many campaings u can use.
If u have only used 4 character slots or less u have default
If u have used 5 u get 1 or 2 extra rows in storage
If u have used 6 u get another 1 or 2 rows in storage
same thereafter
if u own only prophercies u get what is stated above
if u own factions u get another 1 or 2 rows in total
if u buy the next campaign u get another 1 or 2 rows
this compensates for event items/new greens/new stuff
a new character only requires about 2 rows in storage [or less]

The problem is not the crafting materials etc, its the amount of spare armours/weapons you need. My Warrior has atm, 5 pairs of gloves, 2 helms, 3 shields, 2 axes, 1 sword, 1 hammer that i keep with her all the time. My Ranger has about 3 billion bows, 1 sword 1 shield, 4 masks, 2 gloves. The ele has it even worse. 1 full set of 55 armour, 1 set of focus/rod for each element, 4 3rd eyes.
Would definatly like to see some extra character specific storage in towns. Even my storage char is out of space because i can't shift all these crappy tomb greens.

Yep...too many armors/weapons is what fills up my storage as well. I don't see why ANet would have a problem with item hoarding though. Less gold and more items will be in the system = less inflation. I dunno, I'm sure that idea would backfire, but still. But you know, if you have 6 characters, you can store about 270 items and add the 20 from your storage, which is quite a lot =P But I understand that most people don't have/want 6 characters so...

Of course, there would have to be some limit to the size of your storage bin, but it would still help to have a storage bin twice as large as the one you begin with. Just a thought.

I have plenty of room, want me to hold stuff for you? I'll charge you the 5k for 5 slots.
It's easier to just remove items from storage. If Anet gives us 30 slots, there will be posts wanting 40. If Anet gives us 100 slots, there will be posts wanting 200. If Anet gives us 1,000 slots, there will be posts wanting more.
Don't get me wrong more storage would be nice, but no matter what they give us, players will just keep more and more stuff and still complain about lack of storage. I'd be happy if they would let us keep 5 bags in storage with items in them.
